Resilient & Sustainable Infrastructure Systems
Assessment of Community Resilience
-
Assess community resilience from mixed-use, transit-oriented development (TOD)
with innovative technologies
for water-energy-transportation (WET) infrastructure systems
1. Examine changes in resiliency and sustainability triggered by TOD in 3 Atlanta neighborhoods.
2. Introduce several sustainable technologies (e.g., combined heat & power, shared autonomousvehicles, PV systems, etc.) to determine unique and combined impacts of such intervention.
3. Understand major barriers for increasing the adoption of resilient WET technologies in thecontext of specific socio-economic features of the selected neighborhoods.
4. Assess the impact of various policies to enhance resilience, sustainability, and equity of theselected neighbors.
